I don’t know how many times I have asked my doctor, talked to a friend, read a book, or searched the internet for ways to help my adrenals.
Our adrenals are small but busy glands producing hormones that regulate our body systems. Their most important role is helping us deal with stress.
Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff says that, “The adrenal glands of a person who lives a stress-filled life are constantly secreting cortisol in an effort to deal with the stress.” This can wreak havoc on both our hormones and immune system.
Adrenal insufficiency can cause hormonal imbalance and extreme fatigue.
That was me. I lived in a state of stress for a long time – I would get up each day and by lunch time I wanted to go back to bed. My hormones were way off and I had zero libido. I’m sure a lot of you ladies can relate!
So recently I found a key for me. Interestingly enough, one of the answers looks just like an adrenal gland.
Nutmeg essential oil! I always find it amazing when the answers are so easy!
So, how does nutmeg help? It has corticosteroid activity and therefore supports the adrenal glands and helps them heal. I use nutmeg essential oil from Young Living and apply to the vita flex points on my feet as well as take it internally.
