Top Ten Essential Oil Hacks

One of the best things about essential oils is there so many ways to use them! Give my top ten oily hacks a try!

Trash Can Hack

Take the absorbent paper out of the box, add a couple of drops of oil and place in your trash cans, diaper pails, or any place you might need a little freshening! I even threw this in a pair of boots the other day!

Reuse Labels

Did you know you can reuse the labels from your empty oil bottles???

Be sure to pull off slowly!
Be sure your hands are oil-free.
Be sure the bottle you are placing it on is oil-free.

I love using this oily hack when I make pillow spray.

DIY Lavender Pillow Spray
4 oz spray bottle
1 oz witch hazel
3 oz water
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Mix together and shake before each use.

Clarifying Shampoo

Let me tell you this DIY for Thieves Clarifying Shampoo is AMAZING!

2 TBSP Thieves Dish Soap
1 Capful of Thieves Household Cleaner
A little water (if needed)

Mix ingredients together. Apply to your hair just like shampoo. Rinse and follow with your usual conditioner.

Good-bye, build up! Your hair will be squeaky clean!

(Color-treated hair use with caution. Recommended to test a tiny area before to see if your color fades.)

Oil infused Tissues

This hack is the best during this season when noses might be a little runny!

Grab your tissue box and your favorite respiratory support oil.
Some of my favorite oils to use for this are Eucalyptus, Raven, or RC.

Take the tissues from the box. Add a couple of drops of your chosen oil to a cotton ball. Place the tissue and cotton ball in an airtight container for around 24 hours.

After 24 hours, place the tissues back in the box and enjoy the respiratory support!!

Flavored Tooth Picks

Y’all next time you have an empty peppermint or cinnamon bottle, pop the top off and add some toothpicks. The toothpicks will soak up the last drops of essential oils!

Now you have toxic-free flavored toothpicks!

Long-lasting Fresh Flowers

Add a drop or two of Purification oil to the water in a flower vase. Your flowers will stay fresh for much longer!

Toilet Paper Roll

Want more ways to use your oils around the house?

One of my favorite little tricks is to put a few drops of my favorite oil on the cardboard center of the toilet paper roll! The smell is long-lasting because it soaks into the cardboard and makes your bathroom smell fresh and clean!

Deodorant Hacks

What do all of these products have in common?

You can use them for DEODORANT!

Yes, we have all been there on the go, and you realize you forgot to put on deodorant! Check your bag for some Thieves Hand Sanitizer. (We actually use this every day for deodorant!)

Have a bottle of Purification? Add a couple of drops to each armpit.

Rose Ointment is so dreamy as a deodorant!

Cleaning Made Simple

Cleaning the shower is one of my least favorite things. This little hack makes it so much easier!!!

Fill a refillable scrub brush with two tablespoons of dish soap, three caps of Thieves Household Cleaner, and top off with water.

Keep this helpful little gem in your shower and scrub down the walls once or twice a week while you shower!

No More Tears

I have never been able to cut an onion without tears.

Open your bottle of Purification and sit it by your cutting board when you are cutting onions. No more tears!

This trick is a lifesaver!

Moldy Towels

You know that moldy smell when you forget to hang up a towel to dry?!?

This fantastic little bottle of oil knocks out any smell in the laundry!

Just add a couple of drops of Purification oil before you start the washer. Whether you are washing towels, sheets, sports uniforms, or workout clothes, it will come out smelling fresh and clean!
